Here is a recipe I have made for a 1200 calorie survival food bar. It costs a fraction of the store brand food bars. They taste good and are high in energy and proteins.
3 cups whole oats, 1/2 C of corn meal, 1/2 cup of whey protein, 1/4 tsp of salt, 3 TSP honey, 3 TSP molasses, 2 1/2 C powdered Milk, 1 C sugar, 1 package of pectin, 1/4 C water, 1/4 tsp cinnamon,
cook pectin, molasses, honey to a boil add to the dry ingredients and mix well then form and place on dehydrator or oven on lower settings with door cracked. Keep eye on it in oven do not let it over cook. Let set for 2 hours until cool and there you go.
